Powertrain Control Module - HIM (High Integrated Mounting)
Description
Mitsubishi Electric develops two PCM types.
There are two types of Power Control Modules, SIM & HIM. The HIM maintains
high integration by using a molded case, which equates to a smaller, lighter,
lower cost PCM. Also, using a molded case creates a weight decrease,
eliminates screws.
The HIM is a result of streamlining the production process
from manual insertion components to surface mounted devices.
The CPU on the PCM has a flash memory that allows user programs
to be written at the production lines' end. This contributes to
reducing production lead-time, increasing productivity.
