General Motors Honors Top Suppliers; Ceremonies Celebrate World Class Performance

Northville Township, Mich., April 23, 2005 — General Motors presented 78 companies with its prestigious Supplier of the Year award today at a celebration held at GM's Vehicle Engineering Center in Warren, Michigan.

For the sixth year in a row, Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America was among the awardees.

Suppliers are an integral part of GM's global product and performance, and each of the winners was recognized for its exceptional contributions to the company in 2004.

"As a global automaker, GM needs a globally competitive supply base and many of these companies demonstrated they are capable of supporting GM operations around the world," said Bo Anderson, GM Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "As GM Supplier of the Year winners their performance raises the bar for all automotive suppliers in the industry."
